White Wine Marjan Simčič Chardonnay 2019. 

The winegrower: Marjan Simčič
Region: Goriška Brda, Slovenia.
Alc.: 14 % vol.
Sweetness: Dry.
Vintage: 2019.
Volume: 750 ml.
Grape variety: Chardonnay. 
Harvest: Hand Picking. 

Vinification: maceration for up to 24 hours in a stainless steel container, maturation 6 months on yeast in a stainless steel container. Maturation in the bottle: at least one month.

Ageing potential: Suitable for drinking young. As it matures, it gains in minerality. Some vintages last in the bottle for up to ten years. 

Characteristics:
The beautiful, harmonious wine of moderate body is marked by a clear yellow color. The smell is intense and complex. Over time, the scents acquire the scent of white flowers with a hint of white peach and dried fruit and a slightly gentle touch of citrus and spices. It develops nicely in the mouth. It is characterized by fresh and vibrant mineral tones. It is long-lasting, very charming, with a delicate texture and completely varietal characteristic.

Food pairings:
Chardonnay - the most famous white dry wine - is suitable for both modern creative and traditional cuisine. It is excellent as an aperitif. It can also be a wine party. It goes well with a variety of dishes, such as rice rolls combined with raw fish (sushi), fried meat, seafood or vegetable dishes, salads, not too spicy pasta and risottos, grilled or salted white fish, grilled vegetables, gnocchi with tomato sauce, fried salami in wine and even fried prosciutto with polenta. To serve at 12° C.
