Region: Vipavska dolina, Slovenia.
Alc.: 14 % vol.
Volume: 750 ml.
Grape variety: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Terraced vineyard, breeding single guyot.
Harvest: Hand Picking. Merlot in late September / Cabernet Sauvignon beginning of October.
Vinification: Longer maceration, 24-month maturation in barrel barrels, then another year the varieties are matured together, followed by the addition of sweet wine from dried grapes. Further maturation takes place in bottles.
Ageing potential: 2019 - 2023.
Characteristics: Ruby red in color, with extremely fruity flowers of forest fruits, and a combination of freshness and velvety elegance.
Good for lighter venison, such as venison or mouflon fillets, and for combining meat with fruit sauces.
