Slovenian farmer Anton Grižon makes premium organic extra virgin olive oil which does not participate in any exhibitions and competitions for only one reason: he cannot produce it enough. Each year in December, right after harvesting we try to buy as much as possible because we know: the demand from his regular customers far exceeds the capabilities of his small olive farm.
Organic olive oil Anton Grižon is made mostly of olives Istrska Belica, Leccino, Pendolino and Buga. Istrska Belica is an authentic Slovenian variety of olives that gives Slovenian olive oil its unique strength and a burning aftertaste. However, by mixing this olives with Leccino, Pendolino and Buga, Anton manages to soften the taste of this olive oil without losing its fullness and intensity.
Thus the olive oil has such a mild, semi-sweet taste and medium peppery (one-cough) finish, soft fruity aroma with a subtle touch of a freshly cut grass.
